Peekd ("we", "us", "our") is a link-tracking service built for freelancers and independent professionals. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to you. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use it to train AI models. We will only contact you about your Peekd account, service updates, and features or plans related to Peekd.
1. Who we are
2. Information we collect
- Account data: your email address and securely hashed authentication credentials. If you register using a third-party login, we receive only the basic profile fields that service returns.
- Links you create: the label, destination URL, and unique tracking identifier associated with each link you generate. This data is stored solely to operate the service.
- Open events: when one of your tracking links is opened, we record the timestamp, IP address, browser user-agent, and referring URL of the visitor. This is used to count opens, suppress rapid duplicates, send you notifications, and detect abuse.
- Billing data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, your billing details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor. We receive only your subscription status and a customer reference โ never your card number or full billing information.
- Operational logs: standard server logs including request paths, status codes, and error traces, retained for security, debugging, and service reliability.
3. How we use your data
- Operate the link-tracking service and power your dashboard.
- Send you transactional notifications when your links are opened.
- Process your subscription and provide account support.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We will not sell your data, share it with data brokers, use it for behavioral advertising, or disclose it to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We will only contact you about your Peekd account, new Peekd features, and Peekd subscription plans.
4. Data about link visitors
As the person who created the tracking link, you are the data controller for this open data under applicable privacy law. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Peekd's tracking features complies with privacy laws in your jurisdiction and those of your recipients.
